Hoping to let your home out through London 2012?
Do you have any protection against tenancy disputes and damages?
Property Inventories can provide comprehensive reports on the condition and contents of your property from as little as £85 + VAT
If this is your first experience of being a landlord, make sure it's a pleasant and profitable one.
The most important thing you need to know is that without Inventory, Check In and Check Out reports it may be extremely difficult to claim compensation for damage caused by your tenants.
Even if you hold a deposit, without this paperwork any dispute is simply your word against theirs. Instead of making money from the event you may actually find yourself out of pocket.
Property Inventories is one of the largest inventory companies in London, Our clients include many of the most recognisable estate agencies and numerous individual private landlords. We have been assisting private landlords with their properties for over 5 years.

Frequently asked questions
Why can't I use the deposit to pay for any damage caused by the tenant?
This is a question of proof. Without comprehensive reports, it is simply your word against theirs. It is therefore advised that a comprehensive, independent inventory is compiled, which should ensure that you avoid any dispute at the end of the tenancy and can provide justification for deducting the cost of any dilapidations or damage.
Does this apply to me even as a temporary landlord?
Could I carry out these checks myself?
Yes. However, remember that we train our Clerks initially in-house for 4-6 weeks before we consider them ready to compile our reports. They then recieve continuous professional development and assessment to ensure that they remain at the highest standard. If it ever comes to a dispute, our reports are viewed as impartial as they are prepared by an unrelated third party with no vested interest in the transaction.
How soon do I need to book?
We have a team of Clerks and a lot of capacity. However, the earlier you book the more likely you are to get the time and day you want and one that suits your tenants.
