Frequently asked questions

Making a booking

Another inventory provider conducted the previous inspection; can you help?

Yes – regardless of who compiled the previous report we can be of service. Our clerks will visit your property and undertake the required report. Afterwards our admin team will process it and provide you with a Property Inventories formatted report.

One room is being vacated / occupied in our house share; can you help?

Yes – we can inspect single rooms or entire properties in the event of tenancy swaps.

How are meter readings obtained?

We carry FB1 and FB2 keys to access communal cupboards. Please notify us on booking if meters are in unusual locations / require certain keys to be accessed / or need the assistance of a concierge.

How far in advance do I need to book?

We make every effort to accommodate last minute bookings and depending on availability can often facilitate same day requests. Weekends and the start / end of the month tend to be popular, so early booking is advised.

On the Day

What do I need to prepare?

We encourage scheduling any cleaning or furniture removal / additions prior to our visit. Our clerk will describe the property as they see it, so it should be in that 'ready to let' condition. We aim to produce an accurate description of the property at the time of the visit and are unable to include changes that occur outside the appointment.

Do I need to be present?

We can attend in your absence should this be more convenient. Please advise if you have an agency we may collect / return keys to within a 30 minute journey by public transport. You can also post us the keys by recorded delivery ahead of the appointment if that is more convenient.
